lyrics
You think it’s funny?
I needed something fun
I needed something fun
You needed something funny
Like a talking monkey
Wearing a propeller beanie
You think it’s funny
I needed something fun
I needed something fun
You needed something funny
Worm hide in my tummy
He laughs when it’s feeling hungry
It’s a four leg clown
When the lights go out
Of the two doored house
That I smile out
Like a dancing monkey
I laughed when I needed something
You think it’s funny
I needed something fun
I needed something fun
You needed something funny
You needed something funny
Like a smile with no teeth
Black slice of fruit
Ripe for gut busting
It’s a four leg clown
When the lights go out
Of the two doored house
That I smile out
Step on it
When you step on it
It won’t live
Full leather clown to swipe it out
Of my new mouth a smile climb out
Black slice sundown gut thrusted out
In a white nightgown with the dice rolled out
You think it’s funny
I needed something fun
I needed something fun
You needed something funny

I like this album, especially for the message that it brings that is really powerful and in line with what happened nowadays. The title and the whole album refers to the Black Lives Matter (red summer refers to the summer of 1919 where white supremacists committed a lot of homicide against black community in USA). The whole album speaks about this, with a lot of reference to historical events (e.g.: 20th August 1619 is the date when the first black slaves were deported in USA). losfastidios
